Genesis 21
the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken (Gen. 21:1 KJV)
Sarah ..bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. (Gen. 21:2 KJV)
And Abraham called the name of his son .. Isaac (Gen. 21:3 KJV)
Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born (Gen. 21:5 KJV)
Sarah said, "God has made laughter for me (Gen. 21:6 KJV)
I have born him [Abraham] a son in his old age (Gen. 21:7 KJV)
Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned (Gen. 21:8 KJV)
Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking
Therefore she said to Abraham, "Drive out this maid and her son, [he] shall not be an heir with my son Isaac
And the matter distressed Abraham greatly because of his son (Gen. 21:11 NAS)
But God said to Abraham, "Do not be distressed .. whatever Sarah tells you, listen to her, for through Isaac your descendants shall be named (Gen. 21:12 NAS)
And of the son of the maid I will make a nation also, because he is your descendant
Abraham .. took bread and a skin of water, and gave them to Hagar,.. gave her the boy, and sent her away. And she departed, and wandered about in the wilderness of Beersheba (Gen. 21:14 NAS)
And the water in the skin was used up, and she left the boy under one of the bushes
she said, Let me not see the death of the child (Gen. 21:16 KJV)
the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven, and said to her ..Do not fear, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is
Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him by the hand; for I will make a great nation of him.
and she saw a well of water; and she went..and gave the lad drink (Gen. 21:19 KJV)
And God was with the lad, and he grew; and he lived in the wilderness, and became an archer
And he lived in the wilderness of Paran; and his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt
Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, spoke to Abraham, saying, "God is with you in all that you do (Gen. 21:22 NAS)
therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son (Gen. 21:23 KJV)
And Abraham said, I will swear (Gen. 21:24 KJV)
Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away (Gen. 21:25 KJV)
Abimelech said, "I do not know who has done this thing; neither did you tell me, nor did I hear of it until today
And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant (Gen. 21:27 KJV)
Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves
Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs (Gen. 21:29 KJV)
he said, "You shall take these seven ewe lambs.. in order that it may be a witness to me, that I dug this well
Therefore he called that place Beersheba; because there the two of them took an oath
So they made a covenant at Beersheba; and Abimelech and Phicol.. returned to the land of the Philistines
Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the LORD
And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days (Gen. 21:34 KJV)
