Genesis 15
the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram (Gen. 15:1 KJV)
Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless (Gen. 15:2 KJV)
Since Thou hast given no offspring to me (Gen. 15:3 NAS)
one who shall come forth from your own body, he shall be your heir (Gen. 15:4 NAS)
look toward the heavens, and count the stars...So shall your descendants be (Gen. 15:5 NAS)
And he believed in the LORD (Gen. 15:6 KJV)
I am the LORD who brought you out of Ur (Gen. 15:7 NAS)
O Lord God, how may I know that I shall possess it? (Gen. 15:8 NAS)
Bring Me a three year old heifer, and a three year old female goat (Gen. 15:9 NAS)
And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst (Gen. 15:10 KJV)
the fowls came down upon the carcases and Abram drove them away (Gen. 15:11 KJV)
a deep sleep fell upon Abram (Gen. 15:12 KJV)
And God said to Abram, "Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years (Gen. 15:13 NAS)
But I will also judge the nation whom they will serve (Gen. 15:14 NAS)
you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age (Gen. 15:15 NAS)
Then in the fourth generation they shall return here (Gen. 15:16 NAS)
And it came about when the sun had set, that it was very dark, and behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a flaming torch which passed between these pieces. (Gen. 15:17 NAS)
On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your descendants I have given this land, From the river of Egypt as far as the great river, the river Euphrates: (Gen. 15:18 NAS)
the Kenite and the Kenizzite and the Kadmonite (Gen. 15:19 NAS)
and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Rephaim (Gen. 15:10 NAS)
and the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Girgashite and the Jebusite." (Gen. 15:21 NAS)
